Basic Chinese 1

BASIC CHINESE 1 (Textbook 1 - Lessons 1 to 8) is for beginners. Taught using Hanyu Pinyin (Chinese phonetic system) and the simplified form of characters, it focuses on pronunciation and exposes the learners to basic sentence patterns by engaging them in simple situation dialogues. by engaging them in simple situation dialogues. Students also learn to recognize commonly used characters.


Basic Chinese 2

BASIC CHINESE 2 (Textbook 1 - Lessons 9 to 14) exposes the students to more situation dialogues. These involve situations such as introductions, birthday celebrations, time-telling, shopping, house-renting, and making a complaint. Fundamental sentence patterns are learned in the process.


Basic Chinese 3 (Chinese Characters)

BASIC CHINESE 3 (Textbook 1 - Lessons 1 to 14) focuses on the recognition of Chinese characters and introduces the writing of some basic characters. After Basic Chinese 1 and 2, those who don't have background in Chinese characters should take this course.


Basic Chinese 4

BASIC CHINESE 4 (Textbook 2 - Lessons 15 to 18) dwells on conversation practices with topics covering various facets of living in China: from exchanging money with foreign currencies to buying traditional Chinese attire to taking public transport. Comparing prices and describing things are also topics covered in the course.


Practical Spoken Chinese 4

PRACTICAL SPOKEN CHINESE 4 hones students their conversation skills and works towards fluency in the language.


Practical Spoken Chinese 5

PRACTICAL SPOKEN CHINESE 5 polishes conversation skills of students with the help of more grammar components working towards fluency in the language.


Basic Chinese 5

BASIC CHINESE 5 (Textbook 2 - Lessons 19 to 22) reviews lightly some topics and grammar lessons covered in the previous Basic courses, but will also take on new lessons on sentence constructions about duration of time, looking for a job, making appointments, asking for directions, and directing to a location.


Basic Chinese 6

BASIC CHINESE 6 (Textbook 2 - Lessons 23 to 26) focuses more on conversation skills, idiomatic expressions, and about the changing cultures in China. It reviews all of the lessons tackled in Textbook 2.


Intermediate Chinese 1

INTERMEDIATE CHINESE 1 (Textbook 3 - Lessons 27 to 30) incorporates idiomatic expressions in conversations drills. Lessons and readings are about China's culture.


Intermediate Chinese 2

INTERMEDIATE CHINESE 2 (Textbook 3 - Lessons 31 to 34) enhances conversation skills with more emphasis on building up vocabulary, grammar and sentence construction, practices on describing sceneries, expressing environmental concern, and stressing a point.


Intermediate Chinese 4

INTERMEDIATE CHINESE 4 (Textbook 4) introduces topics involving changes in the social structure of China, especially concerning women’s role in the society. Topics are introduced by building emphasis on idiomatic expressions used in daily conversation and social discussions.


Intermediate Chinese 5

INTERMEDIATE CHINESE 5 (Textbook 5) focuses on integrating conversation, listening, reading, and writing the Chinese language. Topics include the modern Chinese literature, job interviews, bargaining, and China's education system.


Intermediate Chinese 6

INTERMEDIATE CHINESE 6 (Textbook 5) allows heightened reading comprehension compared to all the previous levels. Pinyin will only be available in introducing new vocabulary words. Topics will include expressing emotions and feelings and will cover conjunctions and idiomatic expressions.


Business Chinese 1

BUSINESS CHINESE 1 is on practical business conversation and reading of business-related articles. Enrollees are required at least an intermediate level of Chinese.


Reading Chinese Periodicals 1

READING CHINESE PERIODICALS 1 focuses on the four aspects of language learning, namely, listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The course will make use of various newspaper articles which can help enhance students’ appreciation of Chinese grammar and vocabulary.


Beginners' Chinese for Kids

BEGINNER’S CHINESE FOR KIDS is created for kids (age 7-14) who have no background in Mandarin. Hanyu Pinyin is introduced as foundation for proper word pronunciation and imple sentence construction. The course will expose the students to basic Mandarin conversation that is dynamic and interactive.


Chinese Landscape Painting

Introduction to the basic techniques of Chinese landscape painting. The course teaches the essentials in freehand and brushworks. It covers paintings of tree, rock, mountain, and waterfalls.


Classical Chinese 1

A course wherein students begin to read substantial passages from Classical Chinese texts and the historical and cultural background surrounding them.


Taijiquan (Tai-Chi)

TAIJIQUAN (TAI-CHI) introduces the ancient internal Chinese martial arts. It is also known as "meditation in motion". It is a basic exercise program with health benefits including stress reduction, greater balance and increased flexibility.
